Paradigm plans to fight delisting by Nasdaq
Paradigm Medical Industries Inc. says it will fight a determination by the Nasdaq exchange to delist the Salt Lake City ophthalmological products maker.
Nasdaq notified Paradigm last week that it has failed to meet minimum bid price requirements.
Paradigm, which trades under the symbol PMD, has lost about 90 percent of its value in the past year. Having traded over $2 per share in April 2002, the stock closed Wednesday at 16 cents.
The company said it has requested a hearing before Nasdaq officials to review the determination.
Bob Mims Seafood packs recalled
Pacific Seafood on Wednesday recalled packages of a seafood mixture because the label
does not warn that imitation crab meat contains egg whites and wheat flour, which could
cause life-threatening allergic reactions.
No allergic reactions or illnesses have been reported, company spokesman Craig Urness said. The packages of frozen seafood, in plastic bags, are labeled Pacific Fresh Seafood Mix. They were sold to stores in Utah, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Kansas and Texas.
