Two Salt Lake-based companies are listed in a ranking of the 100 fastest-growing businesses located in inner cities across the country.

Ikano Communications was listed 18th and Automated Teller Accessories was 76th in the Inner City 100 compiled by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City and Inc. Magazine. This year's list was culled from more than 4,500 nominations in 150 cities.

The rankings are based on revenue growth of nominated companies that have at least 51 percent of their operations in economically distressed urban areas and had sales of at least $150,000 in 1999 and at least $1 million in 2003.

Ikano, a provider of private-label Internet services, has 300 employees in Salt Lake and satellite offices in Logan, Ohio; Pasco, Wash.; and Toronto, Ontario. Automated Teller, with 50 employees, maintains ATMs.
