Title: IKANO Signs its 300th Wholesale ISP Customer. IKANO Continues to Excel in the Wholesale Market.
Date: January 4th, 2004
For Release: IMMEDIATE
Salt Lake City – IKANO Communications, the largest provider of private-label Internet services, announces the signing of its 300th ISP wholesale customer since the creation of its wholesale group in September of 2002.
“This accomplishment is truly indicative of the company that IKANO has become and the infrastructure it has created,” said Henry Smith, IKANO President and CEO. ”300 new customers is a testament to the quality of our network and the value-added services we provide.”
Included in IKANO’s wholesale ISP offering is access to numerous networks, plus IKANO’s proprietary Network Management System and Mission Control Center. IKANO’s wholesale offering features access to the IKANO enhanced U.S. network, Qwest, Level 3 (V.92-enabled), Allegiance Telecom, ICG, and Grande networks, plus the IKANO-owned, largest independent network in Canada. This gives partners the ability to offer service in approximately 3,000 dial-up locations. Regularly priced at just $4.45 per user per month, this package includes a low $250 monthly minimum plus a $250 set-up fee.
The Network Management System protects IKANO’s partners from incurring network overage charges by capping their network risk at 150 hours while protecting against simultaneous logins and spamming; two user behaviors that can be costly to an ISP. The Network Management System does this by identifying subscribers who match a specific profile of abusive behavior. IKANO’s Mission Control Center allows partners to manage their ISP business as well as to access web reports, network status information, and other reporting tools.
“Our team and IKANO as a whole is extremely proud of what we have done in the wholesale market,” said Jerry Golden, IKANO National Wholesale Sales Manager, “we have worked hard to get to where we are today and we look forward to what we will accomplish in the future.”
