Salt Lake City/Dallas, Dec. 17, 2001 - Excel Communications, Inc., the leading direct seller of telecommunications products and services, has selected IKANO Communications to provide private-label Internet and related service support to its MyExcel Internet Access customers.
IKANO is the market-leading provider of branded Internet services, enabling any company, organization, affinity group or group association to provide Internet access and related services to its customers or members on a private-label basis. IKANO's branded Internet services enable companies and organizations to become more effective in acquiring, retaining and communicating with customers.
MyExcel Internet Access is sold directly to customers through Excel's vast network of Independent Representatives. It provides subscribers with fully branded Internet access, e-mail and a customizable start-up page that includes up-to-date headline news, Excel news, stock quotes, weather and more.

The migration of MyExcel Internet Access to the IKANO platform provides subscribers with access to faster connections, a user-friendly format, increased reliability, additional feature-rich functions and expanded coverage. In addition, the new IKANO platform will enhance MyExcel WebBuilder, a turnkey Internet service that provides customers with all necessary components to establish a fully functional Web presence within minutes. MyExcel WebBuilder provides small business customers an affordable, professional and simple approach to establishing an online presence by offering a template driven format that requires no programming or HTML knowledge.
