Title: IKANO APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah --- IKANO Communications, an Internet networking infrastructure company and market-leading provider of branded Internet services, has appointed Garth Howard as president and chief operating officer.
In his new role, Howard will guide and manage the strategic direction and daily operations of sales, marketing, finance, Customer Relationship Management, creative, and the call center.
"It's exciting to be joining a technology company that has managed to show continued growth and success, despite the slowing economy," says Howard. "IKANO continues to show accelerated growth and is in a pivotal position in its industry. I'm thrilled to be leading the IKANO team as we implement initiatives that will take the company to the next level."
Howard is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of senior management experience. Most recently, Howard served as president of custom solutions for Convergys' Customer Management Group. Howard was responsible for managing more than 12,000 employees and a budget of $415 million in the company's outsourced call center and help desk operations, which support many of the company's Fortune 500 clients.
Prior to that, Howard served as senior vice president of corporate strategy at Convergys as well as president of the Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) business unit.
Before joining Convergys, Howard held senior level positions at Key Bank, Fidelity Investments and American Express.
