For Release: IMMEDIATE
Honolulu, Hawaii (February 3, 2006) - LavaNet, one of Hawaii's largest independent ISPs, has partnered with IKANO Communications to deliver wholesale dialup access and DSL.
Under the partnership, LavaNet will supply its dial-up and DSL network to IKANO's subscribers located in Hawaii in order to augment IKANO's existing Hawaiian network.
IKANO, the nation's largest provider of private-label Internet services, delivers wholesale dial-up and private-label Internet services to more than 1,500 ISPs throughout North America including HGEA.net.
Formed through a relationship with the Hawaii Government Employees Association (HGEA), HGEA.net relies on access and related services provided by IKANO. The LavaNet network will enable IKANO to continue
providing reliable, top-notch Internet services to subscribers of HGEA.
IKANO selected LavaNet based on its expansive Hawaiian network, quality of service and proven track record in serving customers for the past 12 years.
"LavaNet is the obvious choice for our Hawaii Internet network needs," said George Naspo, IKANO CEO. "We have a long-standing relationship with LavaNet and they stand out as a thriving locally owned
ISP that can provide the quality of service our customers expect. We selected LavaNet because they maintain the highest standards and they have an excellent reputation in the local market," said Naspo.
Launched in 1994, LavaNet is among Hawaii's largest independent ISPs, and past winner of the PBN "Best in Business" Award. LavaNet offers a large array of services from dial-up to frame relay, DSL,
ecommerce-enabled web hosting, point to point connections, short term event connectivity, web design, network services, consulting and other services.
