The "Order of Excellence" award features a majestic glass enclosed cityscape poster with a bronze medallion in the center. As the Official Data Networking Services Provider for the 2002 Olympic Winter and Paralympic Winter Games, every piece of data large and small passed through one of the world's most complex networks without a single interruption. IKANO provided all data-networking services and accompanying support for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. "These Olympics relied upon IKANO to deliver a world-class performance on the network system operations and they exceeded all expectations," said Dave Busser, SLOC Chief Information Officer. "Their management of the Olympic network was superb."

Achieving 7/24 uptime, IKANO demonstrated its expertise in delivering a high-performance network infrastructure, with built-in redundancy and experienced staff.
"We are honored to receive such a prestigious award from the Salt Lake Organizing Committee," said Henry Smith, IKANO President & CEO. "In our role as an Olympic supplier, we are proud to support SLOC in its outstanding implementation of the Olympic Games."
