IKANO's Instant Messenger (IM) lets work groups or individuals exchange instant messages with other business associates anywhere on the Internet. You may send and receive messages in real time. Unlike e-mail, end-users see the message instantly and they can respond to it instantly.

What sets the IKANO IM apart from other services is that it is fully brandable. Clients may work with IKANO's creative team to develop the custom look and feel of their branded IM.

The strength of IKANO's IM product is that it provides reliable, private, one-on-one communication. Unlike competing products, the IKANO IM does not attempt to be all things to everybody.

Not only is the IKANO IM fully standards-compliant, it is a complete and true open source suite, from the server to the protocol to a full range of clients. XML-based

IKANO is unique in its use of XML -- as the foundation of its instant messaging protocol, XMPP, extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol. XML provides IKANO IM developers a high degree of flexibility to integrate Instant Messaging with other applications and to extend IKANO IM to accommodate a growing number of data types.
