George Naspo

George Naspo Joined IKANO in 2005
George Naspo is a results-oriented business leader with over twenty five years of senior level experience and a proven track record of achievement with global start-ups, turnarounds, and emerging growth companies. During his management career, he's been instrumental in establishing corporate vision and increasing shareholder value.

Mr. Naspo entered the business world after serving as a Captain in the U.S. Army. Early in his career, Mr. Naspo was responsible for managing one of Motorola's largest and most successful regional sales territories. He later joined Cyplex as Vice President of Sales, where he developed a strategic and tactical business plan to move the company into wireless fixed data and telemetry applications serving medical, electronic security, vending, and utility markets. Mr. Naspo then served as Executive Vice President - Sales & Marketing for Securicor Wireless, a subsidiary of UK-based Securicor plc. Soon thereafter, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer, with full P&L responsibility for a $250 million wireless communications business.

Most recently, Mr. Naspo has engaged in several assignments for and on behalf of Insight Venture Partners, a leading private equity and venture capital firm. He served as COO of Xelus Corporation, a Rochester, NY-based enterprise software developer and then joined IKANO Communications as President & CEO.

Mr. Naspo has board-level experience with a number of companies and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Toledo and a Master of Science degree from University of Southern California's business school. He was named Entrepreneur in Residence at University of Toledo and has worked with the Dean of the Business School to assist with developing an entrepreneurial curriculum.



Robert Kalchthaler

Chief Financial Officer

Robert Kalchthaler Joined IKANO in 2011
Bob Kalchthaler joined IKANO in 2011 and brings more than twenty years of financial and strategic management experience to the company. As CFO, he oversees IKANO's financial planning initiatives - including accounting, tax, human resources, real estate/facilities, risk management, and financing to meet the company's growth and operational needs. Mr. Kalchthaler has been instrumental in developing and implementing IKANO's growth strategy.

Prior to joining IKANO, Mr. Kalchthaler was CFO and Chief Operating Officer of C5i Corporation. He also served as CFO of Secure Elements, a security compliance software company that was acquired by public company Fortinet. Previously, he was Vice President of Finance for NetSec, a managed security services company that was acquired by MCI (now Verizon Business).

Introduced to IKANO by Silicon Valley Bank, Mr. Kalchthaler has a solid reputation and network within the financial community. He has a successful track record and strong operational and financial management experience with start-ups and emerging growth companies.

Mr. Kalchthaler began his career in public accounting with Price Waterhouse, after receiving a BS degree in Accounting from Fairfield University.



George Mitsopoulos

Chief Operating Officer

George Mistopoulos Joined IKANO in 2006
George Mitsopoulos is a performance-driven technology and telecommunications executive with a strong ten-year track record growing recurring revenue businesses, including full P&L responsibility. His primary focus is driving organic growth through strategic/marketing partnerships and providing a first-class customer experience through innovative product development and customer care.

Mr. Mitsopoulos joined IKANO in 2006, following the company's acquisition of DSL Extreme. During his tenure at IKANO, he's led DSL Extreme to double-digit growth and expanded the company's broadband service offerings. He also manages the public cloud product development team for IKANO's cloud services business.

Mr. Mitsopoulos earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, with an emphasis in Operations and Management Information Systems.



Dean Russ

VP of Technology

Dean Russ Joined IKANO in 2006
Dean Russ has nearly fifteen years experience implementing and supporting large scale IT networks and systems, as well as managing engineering and operations teams. He has a keen ability to design and manage systems efficiently and reliably, and possesses a strong knowledge of networking, storage, and database technologies.

Mr. Russ joined IKANO in 2006, following the company's acquisition of DSL Extreme. During his time at IKANO, Mr. Russ has led and managed the company's access and broadband network growth. He has also advised IKANO's subsidiary companies regarding network and storage system design and operations.

Mr. Russ earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge, with an emphasis in Management Information Systems. He also holds numerous IT certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, Blackberry, Network Appliance, and Google.
